Larry Neil Messick, age 63, a resident of Troy, AL died Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 1:00 pm from the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with the Reverend David Zorn, Reverend Malone Chandler and Ronnie Gregory officiating. Interment will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 18, 2017 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

Mr. Messick is survived by his children, Christie Faulkner, Kadra Jordan and Jamie Messick; his brother, Jimmy Messick (Peggy), sister, Marie Carnley (Jimmy); grandchildren, Caleb Messick, Bailey Wright, Mary Michael Jordan, Dalton Faulkner, Cooper Faulkner; nieces and nephews, Rod Messick (Abby), Beth Coppage (David), Jennifer Garrett (Steve), Tonya Davis (Cliff) and a host of other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Gregory, Darren Jordan, Cliff Davis, George Cook, Steve Garrett and Rod Messick. Honorary pallbearers will be the Pike County Board of Education Transportion Department and the Town of Banks Water System.

The family would like to thank Peggy Messick for all of the wonderful care during his illness.
