Lewis Eldridge West, age 66 of Troy died Saturday, April 29, 2017 at home following an extended illness. A man of few words , Lewis was retired from Progress Rail, Kershaw division after 45 years of service. He was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Son. Funeral services for Lewis West will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Green Hills Funeral Home with Reverend Danny Arnold and Reverend Wayne Locklar officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Survivors include; wife of 44 years, Joy Stinson West of Troy, sons, Judson Stinson West (Julianne) of Troy, Jonathan Lewis West (Laura) of Prattville and Justin West of Troy, grandchildren, Jackson West, Mary Hayden West, Hayes West , Emerson West and Ceciley West, his mother, Juanita Patterson West of Rutledge, sister, Charlotte Flynn of Rutledge. He was preceded in death by his father, Lewis West and a sister, Fleta West Money. Serving as pallbearers will be; John Money, Edgar Fannin, Bubba McDonald, Steve Lopez, Will Broadaway and Brock Flynn. Honorary pallbearers will be his co-workers at Progress Rail , Kershaw division. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the American Cancer Society, or to Park Memorial United Methodist Church, 750 Elba Highway, Troy, Al. 36079.The staff of Green Hills is honored to serve the West family.
