Mr. Edwin Johnson died peacefully at his home on Friday, April 7, 2017 in Goshen, AL at the age of 90. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 9, 2017 at 4 PM from the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with Reverends W.O. Sanders, David Zorn and Jared Buchanan officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing. Visitation will be held Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 2-4 PM at the funeral home.

Edwin is survived by his wife, Barbara Johnson of Goshen; daughter and son-in-law, Gail (Gene) Hutchens of Tuskegee; son and daughter-in-law, Tom (Jean) Jones of Goshen; grandchildren, Tommy and Betsy Jones of Troy, Sherry Jones of Enterprise; great grandchildren, Mary Thomas Jones, Zack Jones, Gabe Jones, and Chloe Jones.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Gloria Jones; parents, Comer and Ella Johnson and sister, Betty Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of “Moses” Sunday School Class at Goshen Baptist Church, Mack Scott, Ned Sanders, Larry Leverett, W.O. Sanders, and Paul Knight. Pallbearers will be Deacons of Goshen Baptist Church, Bill Finlay, Shawn Richburg, Ken Baggett, Greg Bryan, Mike Redman and Bob Carter.

He was a faithful member of Goshen Baptist Church. He was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather who loved the Lord with all his heart.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to Goshen Baptist Church.
