Goshen man charged with rape

A Goshen man is facing rape and sodomy charges in Covington County.
Opp Police Chief Mike McDonald said investigators arrested 19-year-old James Robert Buchanan on Monday.
Buchanan was charged with rape in the second degree and sodomy in the second degree as a result of an investigation conducted by OPD D-shift officer and OPD investigators.
McDonald said the case involves a minor female.
Both charges are Class B felonies in Alabama. If convicted, Buchanan faces no less than 10 years in prison for each offense.
He is being held in the Covington County Jail on a $20,000 bond.
