Rev. Rex Godwin

Rev. Rex Godwin, age 89 of Troy formerly of Covington County passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 5, 2016 at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Brundidge. Rev. Jason Hughes will be officiating.  The graveside will follow at 2:30 p.m. in the Rawls Baptist Church cemetery in Andalusia with Keahey Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.

Mr. Godwin was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, and son in law, David Carpenter.

Mr. Rex Godwin has served as pastor at the following churches: Rawls Baptist Church, Gantt,

Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Brundidge, Friendship Baptist Church, Tallassee,

New Prospect Baptist Church, Samson, and Oakdale Baptist Church of Ramer.
