The Charles Henderson High School Theater Department will present “Our Town” by Thornton Wilder at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday at The Studio in downtown Troy. Admission is $5 and the public is invited.
“‘Our Town’ is a classic piece of literature that focuses on the theme that our time here on earth is short,” said Judith Park, theater teacher and play director. “The play reminds audiences to take notice of the small details that make up every ordinary day, because at the end of your life, you will discover that those moments were the most important of all.”
Park said the cast is made up of 17 young actors who have “worked incredibly hard to tell a beautiful story.”
“Please come out and support the CHHS Theatre Department and these young actors,” Park said.
The cast includes: Dr. Gibbs, Jacob Brooks; Joe Crowell, Cameren Daut; Howie Newsome, Anthony Tolbert; Mrs. Gibbs, Ingrid Lieb; George Gibbs, Logan Wilson; Rebecca Gibbs, Amelia Steele; Wally Webb, Bryce Senn; Emily Webb, Reagan Gross; Professor Willard, Austin Pruitt; Mr. Webb, Seth Manning; Mrs. Webb, Hannah Jordan; Woman in the Balcony, Audrey Law;
Woman in the Auditorium, Bricelyn Green; Lady in the Box, Fraukje Lieb; Simon Stimson, Dillon Seymore; and Mrs. Soames, Cait Ryan. The stage manager is Ricardo Valencia.
