Malcom “Mac” Pullen

Malcom “Mac” Pullen, age 85, of Sugar Hill, GA, formerly of Troy, AL, passed away on November 5, 2016.  Mac was born July 24, 1931 in Luverne, AL to his loving parents, Cecil and Ruth Pullen.  He was married to the love of his life, Jean, and they spent 64 years building an amazing family.  Mac dearly loved his 4 children, 13 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.  He was a builder at heart and constantly built things for all of his kids.  Mac’s relationship with Christ was everything to him, and he loved serving others through the church.  He was a pioneer in the early days of the computer industry and the most passionate Auburn fan in the southeast.  War Eagle!  Mac also proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force.  Mac is survived by his loving wife, Jean of Sugar Hill, GA, formerly of Troy, AL; sons, Mickey Pullen (Nancy) of Mt. Juliet, TN and David Pullen (Eleanor) of Johns Creek, GA; daughters, Candy Gerhardt (Keith) of North Richland Hills, TX and Christi Sanders (Casey) of Suwanee, GA.  Other survivors include grandchildren, Dr. Matthew Pullen, Tyler Pullen (Jamie), Heather Brokish (Andy), Kailey Pullen, Kristy Pullen, MacIntyre Pullen, Adam Gerhardt, Madison Gerhardt, Jordan Gerhardt, Nick Gerhardt, Travis “Teddy” Sanders (Page), Troy Sanders, and T.J. Sanders; precious great granddaughter, Harlow Brokish; brother, Duane Pullen of Columbia, SC; and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.  A memorial service to celebrate the life of Malcom “Mac” Pullen will be held 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Park Memorial Methodist Church in Troy, AL.  The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until service time at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Park Memorial Methodist Church, 750 Elba Highway, Troy, AL 36079.  Messages of condolence may be made at www.GeorgiaCremation.com.  Jean and the family would like to thank Alex and Denise of Halcyon Hospice and caregivers, Marvelyn and Naomi for their outstanding care of Paw.
