Plenty of people were out on Saturday for the annual Troy Recycles Day according to Keep Troy Beautiful President Melissa Sanders.“We don’t have numbers yet, but we filled the shred truck,” Sanders said. “Lots of electronics were brought in and I think Christian Service Mission had a really good day too.”The City of Troy and Keep Troy Beautiful partnered with several organizations to make the event possible, including KW Plastics, Spurlock Iron and Metal, C.E and E. Solutions, Troy-Pike Habitat for Humanity, Christian Service Mission, First National Bank, Troy Bank and Trust and Lowe’s. Volunteers were also on hand including board members of Keep Troy Beautiful, the City of Troy recycling crew and students form Troy University. “It’s a great event for the City and we hope to keep holding it for years to come,” Sanders said.
