A Grady man was killed Monday morning in a single-vehicle crash approximately 10 miles north of Troy.

Marcus Barnes, 35, was killed when the 1989 Chevrolet 1500 he was driving left the roadway, struck a tree and overturned.

The accident occurred at approximately 2:15 a.m. Barnes was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the Troopers, the preliminary investigation indicates that speed and alcohol might have been factors in the crash. The crash occurred on Pike County 1101.

Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
