Charles Henderson High School is celebrating Homecoming 2016 this week with the theme “Games.” Each school day has been assigned a board game that is played, not just by kids but also by people of all ages. The students have the opportunity to use their creativity and dress according to the designated “Game Day.” Thursday was “Guess Who?” and “Clue Day” and the halls were filled with super sleuths. Some of the costumes were immediately recognizable while others left students clueless. Pictured left, from left, Cade Curtis, Jackson Murphy and Devon Juddith dressed as trees and stood unnoticed by students and teachers who passed them by. Above, Hannah (Sherlock) Huner kept a watchful lookout for any odd characters on campus and McKenna Barton and Bricelyn Green looked for clues in the faded pages of a Nancy Drew mystery. Homecoming activities will continue today with the Homecoming/Pep Rally at 10 a.m. in Wagoner Hall. The 2016 Homecoming Court will be recognized and the Homecoming Queen will be announced. Members of the court are Aquajah Hillard and Dazina Townsend, 9th grade; Lendon Adamson Rhezgeine Dobbs, 10th grade; Abbie Barron and Morgan Scott, 11th grade; and Marah-Katelin Davis and Amelia Steel, 12th grade. School will dismiss at 1:30 p.m. and the Homecoming Parade will be at 3 p.m. in downtown Troy. Game time is 7 p.m.
