Troy Police are investigating a domestic shooting that sent a victim to the hospital shortly before noon today.

The incident took place at a residence on Merrily Drive.

“We have the shooter in custody and we have one victim, who was taken to Troy Regional Medical Center,” said Police Chief Randall Barr. “Right now I can’t comment on the extent of his injuries.”

Barr said the investigation is ongoing. “We’re in the early stages of the investigation. We’ve got to find out exactly what happened,” he said.
