Severe weather possible

An alert sent Thursday by the National Weather Service in Birmingham warned of potential isolated severe storms that could hit Pike County as early as 6:00 a.m. Friday and as late as 7:00 p.m.
An early morning warm front pushing northward could bring damaging winds and hail, and a cold front in the afternoon could spur isolated severe storms with the same risk.
Heavy rainfall will be possible throughout the day.
There is still much uncertainty about severe potential at this time as convection evolves throughout the morning and the remainder of the day, so continue to check for updates as the situation progresses.
