Leah plans to campaign for the office of city official.

As a member of Girls State, she will learn about the operation of government by participating in caucuses and through the election process. Well known speakers and state, county and city officials are expected to visit and enlighten the young women on their civic responsibilities.

At Zion Chapel High School, Leah is a member of the varsity basketball and softball teams, a member of the Academic Ambassadors, Mu Alpha Theta and the “A” Club. She is a member of Springfield Baptist Church in Brundidge.

Leah is the daughter of the Rev. Donald and Pam Ash of Brundidge and granddaughter of the late Glenn Freeman, Joyce Freeman and Robert and Judy Ash, all of Georgia.
