James Alvin Drinkard, age 80, a resident of Montgomery, died Friday April 29, 2016, at his residence. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 2, 2016 at 2:30pm in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home with Rev’s. Tom Stone and Kenneth Baggett officiating. Burial will follow in the Hopewell Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home in Troy directing. The family will receive friends onMonday, May 2, 2016 from 1:30-2:30 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Ron Drinkard, Bobby Drinkard, James Michael Jones, Travis Jones, Zachary Jones and Maxwell Jones.

Mr. Drinkard is survived by his daughters, Jana Gibson (Wyatt) and Dawn Jones (James Michael); 4 grandchildren, Travis Jones (Stazzia), Zachary Jones, Jessica Jones and Maxwell Jones; 3 brothers, Robert Drinkard (Jimmie), Boyd Drinkard (Pat) and Donnie Drinkard (Pat); 2 sisters, Betty Knotts and Ammanette Kyzar (Raymond) and 2 sisters-in-law, Jinene Drinkard and Dollie Drinkard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, L.L. and Ina Drinkard; wife, LaNell Peters Drinkard and 2 brothers, Billy and Hugh Drinkard.
