He said the vocal ensemble program was started about a year ago and continues in the building process. “We presented a concert at Christmas so this will be our second concert,” Scott said. “We have worked hard to prepare for the Spring Music Festival and are looking forward to having an audience.”

Scott said the concert will feature about nine songs and several different styles of music.

“We’ll do a popular Michael Jackson song, ‘I’ll Be There,’ and one on the pop charts, ‘Hello’ by Adele.”

The program will also include an old English folk song, “Shenandoah” and ‘Glory’ from the movie, “Selma,” which was filmed in Selma, Alabama.

“I’ll sing a solo part on ‘Glory’ to give it a little twist,” Scott said. “We’ll sing one sacred song, ‘The Lord Be With You.’ Some of the songs will be sung a cappella and others will be sung with piano accompaniment.”

Student soloists will be Rayvion Williams, Jeremiah Jackson, Jacra Allen and Ka’daja Hall.

“We invite everyone to come out Tuesday night and support our vocal ensemble in the Spring Music Festival,” Scott said. “It’s free and we think you’ll enjoy it.”
