Troy police are continuing to investigate a Saturday afternoon shooting that sent one person to the hospital.
“We have not made an arrest yet,” said Troy Police Chief Randall Barr. “We’re continuing to investigate and I feel confident we will make an arrest soon.”
Troy police officers were responding to a fight call at the Sunoco gas station on North Three Notch about 4:50 p.m., TPD spokesman Lt. Bryan Week said.
A large crowd had gathered at the station and before officers had arrived, bystanders reported that shots had been fired and one person was injured.
The suspected shooter fled the scene.
“The victim was taken to Troy Regional Medical Center with non-lifethreatening injuries,” Weed said
The incident took place about a block away from the Knox Street baseball fields, where a local ministry group was hosting a Spring Fest event for families.
“We do not believe the events were related in any way,” Barr said.
