Albert Jackson “Jack” Haisten

Albert Jackson “Jack” Haisten, 88, died March 21, 2016. A lifetime resident of Brundidge, Alabama, Jack was a merchant and farmer in the local community. He was born January 18, 1928 to Albert Finney and Martha Burdett Haisten. Jack attended Auburn University graduating with a degree in Agricultural Economics. He married Alice Omeka Knight in 1951 and served in the U. S. Army before returning to Brundidge.
He was predeceased by his wife Alice, brother James “Jim” Burdett Haisten and sister in law Patsy Polston Haisten.
He is survived by his three children: Jane Haisten Renfroe (Robert) of Montgomery, Albert Jackson Haisten, Jr. (Pam) of Mobile, and Nancy Haisten Coleman (Brian) of Chicago. He was blessed with six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren: Emily Jane Renfroe Little, Robert “Rob” Haisten Renfroe (Meredith), Margarett “Maggie” Ann Haisten, Albert Jackson Haisten, III, Taylor Jackson Coleman, Alec Jordan Coleman, Katherine Bailey Little and Daniel Bryant Little.
Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Saturday, March 26, from 8:30 am to 10:00 am, at Dillard’s Funeral Home in Brundidge immediately followed by a graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the American Diabetes Association.
