Troy Police are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect who robbed the local Hungry Howie’s at gunpoint earlier this week.

Troy Police are looking for the man who robbed a local pizza store at gunpoint on Wednesday evening.

“We have photos from the video surveillance,” said Police Chief Randall Barr. “We believe somebody out there is going to know who this person is and will help us identify him.”

Barr said the suspect entered the Hungry Howie’s location in the 1100 block of U.S. 231 about 7:50 p.m.

“He placed an order and when the clerk went to open the cash register he pulled the gun,” Barr said.

The suspect produced a black, semi-automatic pistol and made away with an undetermined amount of money before fleeing on foot.

“None of the employees were harmed,” Barr said.

Police said the suspect is identified as a light-skinned black male, approximately 5 feet, 9 inches with a slim build. He was wearing a black, Boonie style hat; a camouflage shirt with long black sleeves, black pants and white shoes.

Barr said the incident could be connected to another one that took place on Feb. 18 in the same location. “In that case, a suspect came into the store covered from head to toe,” Barr said. “The clerk ran out the door in the back and nothing was taken.”

Anyone with any information about the suspect is asked to contact the Troy Police Department at 556-0500 or to call the Secret Witness Line at 334-566-5555.
