Butter and Egg Adventures in Troy has been selected the Alabama entry in the Trip Advisor’s 2016 Edition of “50 States Series: Top Family Attractions Worth Traveling For.”
The listing includes such attractions as the Kennedy Space Center in Florida’, Centennial Olympic Park in Georgia, Cooperstown Hall of Fame in New York, and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indiana.
The Top Family Attractions list includes attractions that will provide hours of entertainment and gigabytes of photographs and make a vacation memorable and fun, whether it’s close to home or across the country.
Butter and Egg Adventures is owned by Ron and Susan Pierce of Troy and is an ideal location for families as well as for large groups and youth retreats.
The facility features zip lines, climbing structures, challenge courses, waterfront activities, an outdoor laser tag field, a dining hall, camping areas and a bunkhouse that sleeps up to 52.
Ron Pierce said he is proud and honored that Butter and Egg Adventures has been included in such a prestigious listing of family recreational travel sites.
“Over the years, the number of people at Butter and Egg Adventures has greatly increased,” Pierce said. “For each of the past two years, more than 14,000 people have come to enjoy the ‘adventures’ our facility offers. We are attracting groups from far outside the area and that includes a lot of youth groups.”
Around the business, Butter and Egg Adventures is known as an aerial adventure park. Being so, the Pierces take pride in the fact their park has 22 zip lines and that’s more than other regional parks that feature zip lines.
“Our prices are less than those of other parks,” Pierce said. “At Butter and Egg Adventures we offer quality recreation at affordable prices. We have families and groups that come back again and again. That’s a good indication that we are doing things right.”
Pierce said Butter and Egg Adventures listing in the 2016 Edition of “50 States Series: Top Family Attractions Worth Traveling For” will be of benefit to the park and to Troy and Pike County.
“Butter and Egg Adventures brings a lot of people to Pike County and, while they are here, they spend money and that’s good for the economy,” he said. “The listing as top family attraction is good advertising for us and for Troy and Pike County.”
The 50 States Series was launched on FlipKey blog in 2014 and has touched on a variety of subjects. Businesses, museums, activities and events have made their way onto the series list that reserves one spot for each state. The series highlights the attributes and accomplishments of the listings and why they deserve to be listed.
