The West College Historic District Association held a 2015 Historic District Christmas Tour of Homes in December. Proceeds from the Christmas Tour of Homes were for upkeep up the historic district and to donate to a charity. This year’s organization was Troy-Pike Habitat for Humanity. Candy Howard-Shaughnessy presented a check from the West College Historic District Association to Melissa Mikul, President of Troy-Pike Habitat for Humanity at last week’s board meeting. Melissa Mikul and Karen Ross (Habitat) volunteered at the Christmas Tour of Homes. “We greatly appreciate what Habitat is doing in our community. We are glad to support them in their endeavors,” Howard-Shaughnessy said.
