DYW program recruiting in Pike County

Morgan Vardaman participated in the DYW of Alabama competition the week of Jan. 11-15. Preliminaries were held on Friday, Jan. 15, and Saturday, Jan. 16, with the finals that evening. Vardaman and Candy Howard-Shaughnessy will be recruiting in all high schools located in Pike County this week and next week. Any 11th grade female in Pike County who is eligible to participate must attend one mandatory meeting. Any 10th grade female attending school in Pike County may participate in the Little Sisters program. Meetings will be held Sunday, March 6 and Sunday, March 20 at 2 p.m. in the fellowship hall at First United Methodist Church of Troy. Potential participants and Little Sisters must attend one of the meetings along with a parent/adult/guardian.
