Edward Wayne Grant, 73, a resident of Montgomery, AL, passed away on Thursday, February 18, 2016. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at 1:00PM at Eastern Oaks Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Gillenwater and Dr. Daniel Gillenwater officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Orion Baptist Church Cemetery in Orion, AL. Mr. Grant was born in Orion, Alabama and spent his adolescent years in China Grove, AL. His adult years were spent in Montgomery. Mr. Grant was actively involved with his son in Dixie Gray Baseball. He was proudest of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. After his retirement from Albany International, he was very active with the Montgomery Men’s Golf Association. He was also an avid outdoor sportsman with hunting and fishing. Mr. Grant was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Haley Grant, Sr.; mother, Gladys Miller Grant; brother, Clarence Haley Grant, Jr.; sister, Gloria Grant Flowers; sister, Margene Grant Phillips; sister, Mary Elizabeth Grant Smith. He is survived by his daughter, Dana Grant Stephens (Kevin); son, Michael Joe Grant (Sharon); grandchildren, Miranda M. Smith (Josh), Haley Kristin Grant, Mason R. Schmacker, Michael Tyler Grant; great granddaughter, Lauren M. Smith; and great grandson, Luke Daniel Smith. Pallbearers will be Scott Flowers, Steve Flowers, Mark Weeks, Gary Callin, Sr., Keith Roling, and Ed Howell.
