William Ellis “Bill” Long, age 91, a resident of Abbeville, Alabama died Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 12:00 pm in the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge with Reverend Averyt Walker and Elder Lewis Norwood officiating and Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing.

Burial will follow in the Enon Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 16, 2016 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge.

Mr. Long is survived by his wife, Eloise Barbaree Long; son, David Long and wife Cheryl; daughter, Melanie Helms and husband Micah; 2 brothers, Loyd Long and wife Mary Charles and Oris Long and wife Jewel; 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other family.

He was preceded in death by his son, Ronnie Long; his parents, Joseph and Lessie Long and his brothers, Pella “Curly” Long, Emory Long and Alvin Long.
