Perry Brown has rejoined the team at Troy Publications Inc. as Creative Director and Presentation Editor.
“I am very excited to once again be a part of the team at Troy Publications. It is my goal to add visual and creative equity to the city of Troy through my position here,” Brown said.
Brown, a 2009 graduate of Troy University, most recently worked as an Art Director and Designer at Stamp Idea Group in Montgomery. While there he was responsible for creating and overseeing works of advertising in a variety of mediums. His work has been recognized with awards from the American Advertising Federation, and, most importantly, it has been recognized with the satisfaction of happy clients.
“Perry is an exceptionally talented designer and creative director, and we’re thrilled to have him back on our team,” said Stacy Graning, publisher. “Working with graphic designer, Jessica Lambeth, Perry will lead the design effort for our daily newspaper, niche publications, website and our award-winning TroyLife magazine, which he helped develop.”
Prior to working with Stamp, Brown worked with Troy Publications Inc. from 2008-2011 as a designer and creative director. During that time he was integral in the launch of TroyLife magazine, among other projects.
“I can’t wait to have the opportunity to work on TroyLife again. I had a blast helping with the creation of the magazine back in 2010,” he said. “It is one of my favorite projects that I have worked on in my career.”
“Perry has a vested interest in being active in our community and in producing quality publications for our readers here in Pike County, ” Graning said.
In 2012, Perry and his wife, Gina, helped plant Transformation Church in Troy, with the mission of sharing and connecting people to Christ through His Word.
Perry currently serves Transformation Church as Worship Pastor.
He is also an accomplished musician. His band, Fire Mountain, has released three albums in the past five years.
Most recently they released, “All Dies Down,” in 2014 to international critical acclaim, and they hope to release a new record at the end of 2016.
He and his wife Gina are the parents on a 7-month-old son, J.P.
