Police chief: Suspect charged in armed robbery

A Troy man was arrested last week in connection with a Dec. 22 armed robbery.
The incident took place in the 100 block of Jasmine Court, according to Troy Police Chief Randall Barr.
“The victim was visiting friends in the area, when a suspect approached the victim,” the chief said. The suspect was armed with a handgun and demanded the victim turn over some of his personal property.
“A struggle ensued and the victim received a laceration to the head,” Barr said. “The armed suspect fled the area on foot.”
Quintez Xavier Reed, 26, of Troy was arrested Dec. 23 and charged with =robbery first degree and assault se second degree He was being held in the Pike County Jail on $95,000 bond.
The case remains under investigation, Barr said.
