Stuff a stocking with Colley Gala Jeep raffle tickets

The Senior Foundation Board of the Colley Senior Complex in Troy has a great idea for a stocking stuffer — a bright, red Jeep Wrangler. Those who are looking for last minute gifts that will keep on giving far beyond the Christmas season need look no farther than Elm Street in Troy.

The bright red 2004 Jeep Wrangler displayed in front of the Colley Senior Complex will be awarded in a drawing at the Colley Senior Complex Gala on February 6. Raffle tickets are available at the senior center and chances of being the lucky one to drive the Jeep home are one in 350.

“Only 350 tickets will be sold for this great Jeep Wrangler,” said Krissy Pinckard, president of the Senior Foundation Board.

“Tickets are $100 each and will make great stocking stuffers. Just think how exciting it will be for a special person in your life to have a chance to win a Jeep Wrangler. And, somebody is going to win it on February 6.”

The Jeep Wrangler is one of the finest vehicles the Senior Foundation Board has offered as a fundraiser for the Colley Senior Complex, Pinckard said. “The Jeep is in excellent condition and is ready for the road,” she said.

“It has a soft top and a hard top which makes is great for year around driving. It has a radio and CD player. It’s a well-equipped Jeep and it’s made for fun.”

Tickets for the Jeep fundraiser are available for last minute shoppers at the Colley Senior Complex until 4 p.m. Wednesday.

“Those who want tickets for stocking stuffers can take advantage of this last minute shopping opportunity,” Pinckard said. “A ticket enters the holder in the drawing for the Jeep and the $100 donation supports they many programs offered free to seniors at the Colley Senior Complex.

“The senior center has something for everyone whether you enjoy group exercise, line dancing, pottery making, quilting, painting or playing bridge and dominoes.

If you want to learn a second language or want to know more about computers, the latest technology or how to file an income tax return, it’s all here for you at the Colley Senior Complex.”

Pinckard said the senior center sponsors a variety of day trips to plays, museums, concerts and areas of interest throughout the year and overnight trips including the mountains of Tennessee and Florida’s Holy Land. Expenses for the day and overnight trips are at the expense of the individuals.

Membership at the Colley Senior Complex is free for those ages 50 and over.
