Those who enjoy hilarious comedy, bluegrass, rockabilly and gospel music will want to take the high road to Elba Tuesday night when the Coffee County Arts Alliance presents “Branson on the Road Christmas Style” at Elba High School.

Ginny Cannon, CCAA marketing, said “Branson on the Road Christmas Style” brings together the fiddle, mandolin, guitar, upright slap bass, beautiful rhinestone costumes and hilarious comedy in a Christmas show that will be long remembered.

“‘Branson on the Road Christmas Style’ will feature all of our favorite Christmas songs, like ‘Beautiful Star of Bethlehem,’ ‘Blue Christmas,’ ‘Let It Snow’ and, of course, ‘Jingle Bells,’ just to name a few,” Cannon said.

The concert will also included many of the old country favorites including “Orange Blossom Special” and “A White Sport Coat.”

“Debbie Horton, the only woman to play lead guitar for Johnny Cash will play a medley of Johnny Cash songs and that will be a special part of the concert,” Cannon said. “‘Branson on the Road Christmas Style’ is filled with music, Christmas and country. The audience will sing along, laugh and enjoy every minute of the show. It’s a Christmas show for the entire family and one that you don’t want to miss.”

General admission tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Student tickets are $20 in advance and $23 at the door. Tickets are available locally at The Printing Press in Troy.

“We have an anonymous donor who is helping make it possible to bring the incredible show to Elba,” Cannon said. “‘Branson on the Road Christmas Style’ is also supported by the Alabama State Council on the Arts. We greatly appreciate their support of the arts in Coffee County.”
