Leon Terrell Flowers, 20, of Troy, was arrested Sunday afternoon. He was charged with murder and was being held on a $100,000 bond in the Pike County Jail.

“He was arrested in Montgomery County,” said Troy Police Chief Randall Barr. “The incident is still being investigated and (the charges) could be adjusted or there could be additional arrests.

Flowers is charged with murder in the death of a 19-year-old Troy man, who was killed around 9:15 p.m. Friday in an incident at the Autumn Ridge Apartments on North Knox Street.

“Because the incident is under investigation, we can’t release details,” Barr said.

Police initially responded to reports of a shooting at the apartment complex. “The incident took place in a parking lot and, from everything we know, the suspects fled the area on foot,” Barr said.

The victim was declared dead on the scene; his name has not been released by police.

Shortly after the shooting took place, officers responded to another report of shots fired on South Knox Street. “We believe the two incidents are related,” Barr said. “There were no injuries reported in the second incident and we are still investigating it.”
