Sergeant First Class Retired Norman Lee McKinney

Sergeant First Class Retired, Norman Lee McKinney, age 63 of the Briar Hill Community died Monday, November 2, 2015 at his home. Norman was born in Washington D.C. September 14, 1952 to L.A. Mckinney and Barbara Wilkerson McKinney.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 5, 2015 at 11:00 AM from the Oak Bowery Church of Christ with Minister Richard Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Belser Cemetery with Green Hills Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held Wednesday, November4, 2015 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Green Hills Funeral Home in Troy.

Serving as pallbearers at the church will be , Justin Rollan, Tim Sanders, Scott Stephens, John Stephens, Russell Stephens, Jerry Redmond and David Olive. Honorary Pallbearers will be the men of Oak Bowery Church of Christ.

His survivors include, his wife ,  Cathy Fowler McKinney, daughter  and sons in law, Brandie (Eric) Powell, Kriket (Shannon) Williams, his grandchildren, Brittany, Zoe, Lucas, Graycee and a great grandson, Eli sister in law, Lisa Mckinney, Sister in law and Brother in law, Nora and Jack Stephens, Sister in law,  Sammye Fowler. Mr. McKinney was preceded in death by his parents and a Brother, Charles “Chuck”McKinney.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Belser Cemetery Memorial Trust, 4957 Huffman Road, Grady, Alabama 36036.
