The employees at East Central Mental Health in Troy are “pinking out” this month in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Jane Lambert, Nursing/Residential Housing Services director, said the employees are energized in an effort to bring greater awareness about breast cancer. So many lives of people that the employees know — family members, friends and neighbors — have been touched by breast cancer. Lambert said it doesn’t matter who you or how old or young you are, your life can be affected director or indirectly by breast cancer. ECMH’s commitment to finding a cure for breast cancer and all cancers is year around. In house, the agency sells soft drinks and bottled water in support of Relay for Life. Don Schofield, ECMH executive director, said the mental health agency recognizes the contribution that his agency and each employee can make in the fight against breast cancer and all cancers through awareness and fundraising campaigns.
