Johnny “Steve” Stamey

Johnny “Steve” Stamey, age 59, a resident of Troy, AL died Monday, October 19, 2015. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 2:00 pm in St. John Baptist Church with Dr. Clint Ellis officiating. Interment follow in St. John Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing. Mr. Stamey will lie-in-state 30 minutes prior to the service at the church.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge.

Mr. Stamey is survived by his son, Joshua Steve Stamey and grandson, Peyton Stamey; step-daughter, Vienna Marie Fields Donaldson, and step-grandchildren, Serenity Lysha and Jordan Blake Donaldson; mother, Anita Rhodes Stamey; sisters, Brenda (Gary) Black and Sheila (Richard) Wambles; nephews, Sammy and Matthew Doster and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Valerie Lysha Stamey, dad, Johnny Lee Stamey and niece Nicole (Nikki) Burton.

Pallbearers will be Justin McLendon, DJ Williams, Chris Sharpe, Chad Griffin, Jonathon Tillery and Jeff Rhodes.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
