Huntsville man dies in crash

A single-vehicle crash at 2:10 a.m. Saturday, July 18, claimed the life of a Huntsville man. Kenneth Edward Sanders, 29, was killed when the 2014 Chevrolet he was driving ran off the roadway, struck a culvert, went airborne and struck a tree. Sanders, who was not using a seatbelt, was transported to Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery where he died from his injuries. The crash occurred on Pike County Road 3314, six miles south of Troy. Nothing further is available as Alabama State Troopers continue to investigate.
