Billy G. Smith, age 73, a resident of Goshen, Alabama died Wednesday, June 10, 2015.  Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 14, 2015 at 2:00 pm at GoshenBaptist Church with Reverend W.O. Sanders, Reverend David Zorn and Reverend Jared Buchanan officiating.  Interment will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

There will be a 30 minute lie-in-state prior to the service.

Visitation will be held Saturday, June 13, 2015 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in law, Billy W. and Jennifer Smith; grandson, Todd Smith, and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his wife Ethel Crowe Smith; parents, Eugene Smith and Zuleine Sanders Smith; brothers, James Smith, Thomas Smith, Emmette Smith; sisters, Elizabeth Garrett, Edna Weber and Erma Jean Smith.

Pallbearers will be Wade Johnson, Kip Smith, Roy Crowe, James Walter Crowe, Bill Watkins and Randy Garrett.  Honorary pallbearers will be the Goshen Baptist Church Men’s Sunday School Class and Leon Flowers.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Goshen Baptist Church
