Woman dies in vehicle crash

An Ozark woman was killed Wednesday in a two-vehicle wreck on County Road 3339 in the Spring Hill Community.

Jasmine Renee Key, 19, was ejected to from her vehicle after her 2005 Buick collided with a 2014 Dodge van being driven by 64-year-old Arlillian Thomas Woodard of Troy. The collision too place around 12:40 p.m. and sent both vehicles off the roadway. It was determined that Key was not wearing her seatbelt at the time of impact, and she was pronounced dead on the scene.

Randy Sanders, driver of a FedEx delivery truck, said he was the first on the scene and came upon the wreck just after it happened.Sanders said he first went to Key’s Buick to try and help and then went to the New Hope Church van to assist Woodard.Troy Fire and Rescue was able to free Woodard from the van and she was transported to Baptist South Hospital in Montgomery for treatment of her injuries. There were no other passengers in the two vehicles.
