Troy Police are searching for a man who reportedly stabbed his wife early Sunday morning.
Police said Larry Verndell Lynn, 49, may no longer be in Pike County but should be considered armed and dangerous. He is described as a black male, 5 feet, 7 inches tall weighing approximately 208 pounds. He is thought to be driving a tan or brown colored Ford Taurus.
According to Lt. Bryan Weed, police responded at 5 a.m. Sunday to a call from the 200 block of U.S. Highway 231 South, where they found the stabbing victim.
“When officers arrived on the scene they found the victim in the business with severe injuries from a stabbing,” Weed said. “The victim was transported to Troy Regional Medical Center and later transported to another hospital that will not be identified.”
Weed said that after arriving on scene detectives determined that Lynn was the likely suspect in the assault.
Lynn should be considered armed and dangerous, and officers have obtained an attempted murder warrant for Lynn’s arrest.
Anyone with information related to this crime or who knows the location of Lynn is asked to call their local law enforcement agency or the Troy Police Department at 566-0500 or CrimeStoppers at 215-STOP (7867)
