Troy Police Officers on Friday arrested a man during a burglary of a local grocery store.

Officers arrived on scene at Food World, located on South Brundidge Street, at approximately 3:45 a.m. where Gaven Allen, 21, was said to be inside the grocery store. It was later determined that Allen had broken into both Food World and Johnston Insurance, located on Scouting Circle of U.S. Highway 231 South.

Allen was arrested at the scene and charged with two counts for burglary third degree and possession of burglar tools, according to Lt. Bryan Weed of the Troy Police Department.

Allen was released Saturday on a $7,500 bond.
