Troy Bank and Trust President Jeff Kervin presented a monetary donation to the Troy-Pike Cultural Arts Center Board of Directors Monday afternoon.

The donation continues the bank’s long-standing support of the board’s commitment to the cultural enrichment.

Kervin told Mack Gibson, board chair, and board members that the decision to come on board with the Troy-Pike Cultural Arts Center 10 years ago was a long-term commitment.

“It was an easy sale,” Kervin said of the art center’s request for sponsorship. “At TB&T, we realized the vision and mission of the Troy-Pike Cultural Arts Center would profit the community and our customers. As the community grows, the bank grows. We knew the arts center would be beneficial to the community.”

Kervin said hopes are that others in the community will follow TB&T’s lead and support the Troy-Pike Cultural Arts Center.

Kervin thanked the board for all that it has done in support of the arts in Pike County and said he is looking forward to greater things ahead.

Gibson thanked Kervin and Troy Bank and Trust for the bank’s support over the past 10 years and for the generous monetary gift.

“In every one of those ways, we say ‘thank you’ to Troy Bank and Trust,” Gibson said. “From day-one, Troy Bank and Trust has been on board; the sponsorship challenge was accepted immediately.”
