A mother was arrested Wednesday afternoon after Troy Police Officers received several reports of a woman allegedly beating her son in the Walmart parking lot.

According to Lt. Bryan Weed Jennifer Anne Harris, 42, was arrested at approximately 2:30 p.m. and charged with domestic violence third degree.

“We had several calls in reference to it,” Weed said. “Some of the women that were callers had talked about it and confronted her and had a little bit of altercation between them.”

Weed said that once officers arrived on scene, the mother and her 11-year-old son were taken to the police station where the mother was charged with domestic violence third degree.
