Bush Memorial Baptist Church in Troy invites the Pike County community to “Walk with Jesus” beginning at noon on Saturday.

The “Walk with Jesus” will feature dramatic scenes from Jesus’ life that families can walk through and experience.

“Participants in the ‘Walk with Jesus’ will get to experience the major events leading up to the Resurrection,” said Family Pastor Marshall LeCroy, coordinator of the event. “There will be different rooms that depict the events of the last week of Jesus’ life — Palm Sunday, the Lord’s Supper, the Crucifixion and the Resurrection. We will talk about what happened at each event and why each event is important to our salvation.”

LeCroy said participants will experience Palm Sunday and be in attendance at the Last Supper. They will be with Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane and experience the Empty Tomb where they will know that He is Risen.

“At the end of the ‘Walk with Jesus,’ participants will be invited to share snacks and join in a time of fellowship,” LeCroy said. “At that time, we can discuss what we have seen and heard. It will be a time for questions and answers and opportunities for faith counseling. We invite all who will to stay for this special time of reflection.”

The ‘Walk with Jesus” will be from noon until 4 p.m. and walks will begin at 30 minute intervals.

The “Walk with Jesus” is free and is open to all who want to be closer to the Cross at Eastertide.
