Johnson Center receives a floor-lift (photo)

Messenger photo/Jaine Treadwell The upper level gallery at the Johnson Center for the Arts is getting a floor-lift. The carpet in the gallery is being replaced with wood flooring. Vicki Pritchett, Johnson Center executive director, said the wood flooring will give the building a more authentic look and feel and will also be easier to maintain. Pritchett said the original plans for the restoration the City of Troy’s old post office called for wood flooring “and we’re now getting around to it.”
