Early Monday morning Troy Police Department responded to a security alarm in Troy Sports Shop on Us Hwy 231 South.

At approximately 3:15 Monday morning, Troy Police Department responded to an alarm call at Troy Sports Shop where, according to Lt. Bryan Weed with Troy PD, officers made contact with a male wearing a bandana over his face.

“The suspect had on gloves and a baseball bat,” Weed said. “They took him in to custody.”

Dwayne Colvert, 24, not originally from Troy, was arrested at Troy Sports shop. Weed said officers recovered several firearms, and confirmed that Colvert had in fact taken from the business. Colvert is currently being held in the Pike County on a $2,500 bond on a burglary third charge.
