LK Adams

At home with his family by his side LK Adams departed this world on February 1, 2015 to take up his residence in his new home in Heaven. LK started working in Brundidge, Alabama at the Regal Glove Factory in 1959. After the closing of the glove factory in 1961, Fruit of the Loom opened and LK continued his employment. He was one of the only 5 members of the Fruit of the Loom Founders Club for the Brundidge plant in 1962. He was the last surviving member. LK worked with Fruit of the Loom until its closing in 1999 and continued his employment as Russell Corporation took over the plant until his retirement in 2000 with an accumulative total of 41 working years in the same building.

After retirement , LK enjoyed working with his youngest son at Circle A Farm, Inc., LK was a faithful member of Calvary Assembly of God where he served in many capacities throughout the years of his membership.

As a devoted family man, he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids. LK leaves a legacy that will carry on in the hearts of those to whom he precedes in death. Those precious loved ones being his wife of 56 years, Peggy Adams, sons, Randy (Betty) Adams and Stan (Melanie) Adams all of Clio; grandchildren, Brandon Adams, Starla (Colby) Reid, Chase Adams, Kenlee Adams; great grandchildren, MacKenzie Adams, Weston Adams, Sister , Lavonia Godbold, Clio, Brother, Alphus C. (Shirley) Adams of Troy, also several nieces, nephews and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be his grandchildren as well as Holly Lee, Colby Reid and Anthony Scott. Honorary Pallbearers will be his great grandchilren.

The funeral for LK Adams will be held Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 2:00 PM from the Calvary Assembly of God with LK’s oldest son Reverend Randy Adams and also Reverend Curt McCollough officiating. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery. Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at the Calvary Assembly of God Church, 415 County Road 8, Clio, Alabama from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM and also one hour prior to the service at the church.
