Funeral service for Cecil L. Langston, 79 of Opelika is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Jeffcoat-Trant Chapel. Ministers Bruce Green and Claude Flynn are officiating. Burial will be held in Garden Hills Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday from 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home.

Mr. Langston was born February 21, 1935 in Pike County and had lived most of his life in Opelika. He passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Bethany House. Mr. Langston was a member of 10th Street Church of Christ and was retired from Royal Crown Cola in Opelika, James Brown Grocery in Opelika and Kinnett Dairy in Columbus, GA.

He was preceded in death by his wife Sue W. Langston in 2013.

Survivors include his sons Michael Langston of Lake Martin, David Langston of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren Brooke Nichole Tilley and Steven Tilley; brother Dwight Langston (Becky) of Columbus, GA; sister Katherine Ingram of Pike County; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Bethany House 1171 Gateway Drive Building 100 Auburn, AL 36830.
