Troy man killed in wreck

A two-vehicle wreck in Midland claimed the life of a Troy man Wednesday morning.
Sean Claude Miller, 24, was killed after the 2006 Mini-Cooper he was driving collide with a dump truck, according to a release from Alabama Law Enforcement Agency State Troopers. The wreck happened at approximately 7 a.m. at the intersection of U.S. Highway 231 and Hinton Waters Road within Midland City limits.
Miller was pronounced dead at the scene by Dale County Coroner Woody Hilboldt.
The driver of the dump truck was not injured.
Miller was a 2014 graduate of Troy University. He was originally from Bainbridge, Ga. He was a member of the Sound of the South marching band and the symphony band at the university.
Miller is survived by a wife, Sherri, and their young daughter, with another soon-to-be born child. Sherri is the music teacher at Montgomery Catholic Preparatory School.
The crash is still under investigation by the Midland City Police Department and ALEA State Troopers.
