Mr. Green lived to learn, always curious about the world’s wonders and excited for new life adventures. He was a self-taught artist passionate about acrylic painting and always seeking opportunities to hone his artistry skills; he also always enjoyed a good book to read. On his latest endeavor, Mr. Green began guitar lessons with legendary musician Lenny Trawick. He loved all things outdoors─ hunting, fishing, gardening, and he had a special affection for cattle. He was an active member of the Alabama Cattleman’s Association for nearly 30 years. And, he is fondly remembered for his love of Mrs. Lou Emma’s fruitcake, always served in honor of his birthday.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Green’s honor to the Southside Baptist Church Building Fund (522 South Brundidge Street, Troy, Al 36081) or to the American Heart Association.
