“The breakfast is for all veterans and we hope veterans of all ages will come so that we may honor them for their service,” said Catherine Jordan, Complex director. “This is also an opportunity for our veterans to mingle with their peers. It’s an informal breakfast and we look forward to hosting it every year.”

The breakfast will be held in the downstairs dining room at the Complex.

The guest speaker for the Veterans Breakfast will be Col. Teresa Townsend who serves as the Equal Opportunity Advisor for 4th Brigade, 75th Battle Command Training Division. Townsend was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in 1985 through Tuskegee University’s Reserve Officer Training Corps.

Over her 28-year military career Townsend has served in different command and staff positions in both the active Army and the U.S. Army Reserve.

She began her affiliation with Army Equal Opportunity in 1988 as an Equal Opportunity Representative in the 194th Armored Brigade, Fort Knox, Kentucky. She has been recognized as a skilled instructor, communicator, facilitator and mediator and has received numerous awards and decorations.

The Veterans Day Ceremony will be held at the historic 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month at Bicentennial Park in Troy.

The Posting of the Colors will be by Charlie’s Angels.

Also on the program for the Veterans Breakfast will be the Rev. Sam Green, Friendship Baptist Church, and Randy Ross, Pike County Veterans Service Officer.
