Bessie Mae Driggers Meredith

Meredith, Bessie Mae Driggers, 78, passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on Saturday, November 1, 2014, at UAB Hospital, Birmingham, AL. Bess was a long-time resident of Still’s Cross Roads Community in Bullock County, AL. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. She was a faithful member of Macedonia Baptist Church, where she joyfully served her Lord through the Kitchen Ministry.
Services will be conducted by Rev. Todd Smith and Rev. Bo Weed on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church, 4153 County Road 15 in the Almeria Community. Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery with Gray Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.
Bess was preceded in death by her son, William Woodard Meredith; her parents, George and Martha Hall Driggers, and son-in-law, Jeff Meredith.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 60 years, Tommy Meredith; son, Charles (Sue) Meredith, Jr.; daughters, Linda Meredith and Wanda Meredith (Terry) Motes. She was also a precious Nana to her grandchildren, Josh Meredith, Lauren Meredith, Kathryn Meredith (Mathew) Carter, Christopher Meredith, Greyson Motes, and Meredith Motes. She is also survived by her brother, Joe M. Driggers; several loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
Pallbearers will be Mathew Carter, Charles “Spooky” May, Josh Meredith, Christopher Meredith, Greyson Motes, and James “Buddy” Parsons.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in Bess’ memory to Macedonia Baptist Church, Building Fund, in care of Doris Roten, 189 Co Rd 196, Union Springs, AL 36089 or to ones favorite charity.
