Charles Henderson volleyball to play in regionals in Montgomery

MONTGOMERY — The Charles Henderson volleyball team will face Demopolis Friday afternoon in a regional matchup at the Multiplex at Cramton Bowl in Montgomery.
Coming off of a loss to Area 3 winner Rehobeth Tuesday, the Trojans will enter the tournament as the second-seed from Area 3.
The Trojans be considered the away team in the match that is scheduled for 4:15 p.m.
Charles Henderson will face a Demopolis team that is coming off of its second-straight area championship. The Lady Tigers defeated Area 6 opponent Dallas County three sets to none Tuesday in the area tournament final game in Demopolis.
The Lady Tigers are led by head volleyball coach Angela Sanders and boast a record of 20-5 on the season.
The winner of Friday’s matchup will move on to play the winner of Alabama Chrisian Academy and Marbury.
The winner of the first round will go on to play the second, third and final round games on Satuday with the winner being crowned the South Region champion.
The state tournament will be held in Birmingham Oct. 30-31.
