John Lafayette Selman, Jr. age 70 of Los Angeles, CA died August 27, 2014 in Los Angeles.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at 11:00 am from the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with Dr. Luke Lane officiating.

Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the service at the Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife Xiaoyun Tang Selman of Los Angeles, daughter Ashley Karen Selman Speck (David) of Ozark, his sons John L. Selman III (Susan) of Chester, SD, Kevin Tang Selman of Los Angeles, his grandchildren Brittany Nicole Selman Elliot (Brian), Kathryn Clark, Kristina Speck, Laura Selman and Elizabeth Selman, 2 great grandchildren, a sister Ruth Selman Thompson, of Troy, a niece Melissa T. Bradford, a nephew Michael L. Thompson and an aunt Georgene Watson
