Walmart Foundation grant benefits Brundidge police

The Walmart Foundation recently announced a $2,500 grant to the Brundidge Police Department. The grant was provided upon the recommendation of the local Distribution Center after its review of the needs in Brundidge. The grant will be used to purchase a Radar system for one of the cities Patrol Cars.

“Walmart is committed to helping address unmet needs in the communities where we serve,” said General Manager Robert Chappell. “Our support for the Brundidge Police Department underscores this commitment.”

The installation of a radar detector in our vehicle will surely reinforce our commitment to our cities safety,” said Police Chief Moses Davenport.” Stopping one speeding driver can prevent accidents and fatalities. It’s much easier to Serve and Protect when you put safety first and have the right equipment.”
